Thomas and Fowler gear up for the US Open in unique style

This year, fans can expect a U.S. Open unlike any other. The 123rd edition of the event will see the biggest names in golf teeing it up at the Los Angeles Country Club, a relatively new turf for the competing player. Moreover, the shocking PGA-LIV Golf merger will, no doubt, be looming over the event in LA.

The anticipation for the major is currently through the roof, but fans were able to get a bit of reprieve, all thanks to Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler. On Saturday, Thomas took to Instagram to share a wholesome picture of the duo on a tandem bike with the caption, “Should be able to find a parking spot @usopengolf.” Meanwhile, Fowler had a hilarious reaction to the photo, writing, “Saddle up partner!” in the comments.

“Where’s Jordan’s seat,” commented another, asking about World No. 10 Jordan Spieth‘s whereabouts. Spieth is also great friends with the pair, and all three of them have also been spotted on vacations together. “C’mon boys @jordanspieth can ride on the handlebars,” came a unique solution.

One fan hilariously dubbed their method of transportation as “eco friendly.” Meanwhile, another advised them to “better use a helicopter at la traffic.” The U.S. Open, which will be held from June 15-18, is returning to LA after 75 years. This year, the coveted event boasts a prize purse of $25 million, significantly bumped up from last year’s $17.5 million purse.
