The text he sent said, “Listen, you’re doing all the right things. You’re the best player in the field. Just stay really patient. You’re now in the same position as Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods, they won a lot of golf tournaments just hanging around. So just hang around. “

Homa, according to his coach, is probably one of the best players on the planet. He also said that Max was the best player in the field from a ranking standpoint.

Truly, Homa and his game are legendary. Golf is not just a game about being calculative in the field, it is also about keeping the players in the right headspace. So, to win at golf is a holistic endeavor.

Therefore, it does make sense on his coach’s part to give him motivation on the aforementioned lines. A coach is not only there in a golfer’s life to train their swing. Golf tests way more than your skill at the game. Thus, training should be provided for everything golf and that is exactly what Mark Blackburn is successfully doing. This is probably indicative of the ever-improving game of Homa.

“I’m biased. I would like it to succeed out here, but I think it’s easy to look at it and say the PGA Tour is getting diluted a bit with the competition, but there are a lot of great golfers in the world and there’s going to be more coming up through the professional ranks. And even if they do split a bit, this is still currently the best competition there is in golf and I’m happy to be a part of it and try to help progress that further.’’
