For the past few days, things have been nothing short of strange in the PGA Tour. After 13 long years, Tiger Woods and his caddie Joe LaCava finally parted away. While the news was upsetting many, another report regarding caddies signing a 6-figure deal stunned others. Nonetheless, hours after signing with the Underwear brand, one of the caddies shot in an attempt to caddie for Woods.

The hottest job position in the world of golf is up for grabs. With Woods left with no one to caddie for him once he returns to the professional circuit, caddies around the sport have been attempting to get in contact with the 15-time Major winner.

One of the most notable caddies on the PGA Tour, who recently again caught the attention of the golf world for his $100,000 deal with an Underwear brand, was the most recent one to shoot his shot. Let’s take a look at what did the caddie do.

Is this Tiger Woods’ next caddie?

While Netflix’s Golf Documentary, ‘Full Swing’, gave the spotlight to many golfers, one caddie received an equal amount of love from the golf world. Geno Bonnalie, who has been caddying for Joel Dahmen since 2015, was well-applauded by the golf world for his appearance in Full Swing’s fourth episode.

However, the caddie is once again in the spotlight for signing a $100,000 deal with underwear brand SAXX along with three other PGA Tour caddies. Despite signing a mega deal, Bonnalie looks to further grow his earnings by carrying the bag for the only Billionaire golfer Tiger Woods.

The caddie used Matt Leblanc’s ‘Friends‘ character Joey to persuade the Hall of Famer golfer. He shared the ‘How you doin’?’ GIF of Joey from the Comedy sitcom while tweeting ‘Hey’ and tagging Woods. Though Tiger is set to miss most of the 2022-23 season after a successful Subtalar Fusion, rumors around his next caddie have already begun.

While most fans suggest Charlie Woods or Rob McNamara or even Woods’ former caddies such as Steve Williams and Mike Cowan to be back in the position, Gene Bonnalie has thrown himself into the conversation. Though the tweet may be considered banter from the caddie’s side, it is unclear what his golfer Dahmen thinks of the latest rumor. However, fans on the internet did have their say on the situation.

Following the caddie’s tweet, many of his followers shared their humorous reactions. One tweet even got the approval of Gene Bonnalie.

Some fans even felt worried about Bonnalie’s current client Joel Dahmen. However, one fan claimed to keep it secret between himself and Bonnalie and not let Dahmen not know about any of it.
