“My favorite Ryder Cup memory… well, the last time I was a part of…the 2020 Ryder Cup team,” Johnson said as the video began. He explained that he loved being the part of Team USA, which Steve Stricker led.
Although Johnson was not part of the Ryder Cup Team’s playing squad of 12, he had another important role. He was one of the five vice-captains that Stricker had chosen for 2021; Jim Furyk, Fred Couples, Davis Love III, and Phil Mickelson were the rest of the vice-captains of Team USA.
