Poulter is a trusted Ryder Cup veteran, having played six and won five with Team Europe. He is known to have troubled the other team most times and is looking forward to doing the same this time around.

“I’m sure I’ve annoyed plenty,” Poulter said. “I mean, my percentage has been really nice, for me, and not for the guys I’ve played against, so I’m sure that’s been pretty frustrating to be on the receiving end of that”.

Poulter has an overall 14-6-2 record and is yet to lose a singles match at the event. He is also the second oldest who will be on the course at Ryder cup 2020, the oldest being Lee Westwood, who is 48 years old. Harrington, who has chosen his team of experienced and the world’s best, has confidence in all of his players.
