As the LIV season draws to a close, all the focus in the golf world shifts to their season-end ventures. As we all know, LIV Golf Jeddah was supposed to be the last event on the LIV roster previously (taking place in November), but a sudden change in the schedule took place, and now LIV Golf Miami is the final team championship, taking place from October 20 to October 22. 

Now, before the event, one of the LIV defectors, Sergio Garcia, has taken his obsession with soccer star Lionel Messi to another level, drawing the attention of the golf community.

LIV defector Sergio Garcia displays his Messi obsession ahead of LIV Golf Miami

The LIV Golf Miami is taking place at the Donald Trump-owned Trump National Golf Club Doral, Miami, USA, and the preparations of the LIV teams are at their peak. 

The Fireballs GC captain, Sergio Garcia, a die-hard fan of Lionel Messi, plans to wear something uncanny to the LIV event. Sergio bought soccer T-shirts for his four-member team, inspired by his love for Messi. 

A video of this was posted on Instagram recently. In the video, Sergio’s wife and family can be seen taking part in the outfit preparation. His wife, Angela, is showing the T-shirts. T-shirts even have specific numbers on them, just like in soccer T-shirts. Sergio’s clothes are numbered 10. 

Even at the end of the video, Sergio’s wife asked for opinions from fans about the outfit and stated that they were planning to hand out a few of them to the public. As the video went viral, the fans came like swarms of bees to pour in their opinions.

As the video circulated on social media, netizens readily expressed their thoughts about the T-shirts.

One fan wished to make these T-shirts. “Rad 😂🤙🏻 those look great! Wish I could make it!”

Another fan asked Angela whether Sergio chose the number 10 for his T-shirt. “@angelagarcia Oh did HE pick the #10? 🤔😂😂 good looking jerseys!”

One fan expressed that he loved the T-shirts. “Love’em!!!”

Another fan chipped in and exclaimed the same, “Very nice!”

One fan asked for an outfit with Sergio’s signature. “Wouldn’t mind having one with Sergio’s signature🏌🏻🏌🏻🏌🏻”

Again, a fan expressed his desire to have a t-shirt. “So cool! Need one of them! 😂🔥”

One fan said that he needs the same T-shirt but in a polo style. “🔥🔥🔥 need a polo style! Proper👏👏👏👏”
