The current major event that has the attention of every sports fan is the FIFA World Cup. Currently, underway in Qatar, the World Cup is the most-watched soccer event in the world. Golf fans avidly support their countries as the matches proceed, and so does the LPGA Tour. In a recent post, they posted a video comparing the swings of Nelly Korda and Anne van Dam. This was in honor of America and the Netherlands competing against each other in the World Cup.

While fans battled it out amongst themselves, picking sides, Anne, who turned pro in 2015 and is now 27 years old, hilariously shared the post on her Instagram in support of the Dutch side. She tagged Korda in it and wrote, “You’re going down.”

But intimidating the world’s number one was not going to be easy. Nelly responded to Anne’s post laughing and wrote“I would pick your swing anyways but LFG.” The two LPGA stars hysterically entertained their fans as they sat to support their own countries in the World Cup.

Anne undoubtedly has an upper hand when it comes to a powerful swing over Korda. With an average driving distance of 279.90, she is far ahead of the 24-year-old, who has an average of 272.28. But if only distance were a criterion, Korda wouldn’t be at the top of the ranking.

Korda boasts a swing accuracy of 75% while leaving Anne in the dust with her 55.95% accuracy. While a powerful shot is important, a precise one is even more so, and hence Nelly seems to have this in the bag.
