And there was a time when Nelly Korda was highly concerned about a memorable match between her brother Sebastian Korda and tennis professional Rafael Nadal.

Nelly Korda revealed the hidden stress behind her brother’s professional tennis career

The Kordas can be considered one of the most athletic families in the United States of America. Both Nelly and Jessica Korda are equally talented players who often train together on the field. Their parents, Petr and Regina, used to be tennis legends during their prime years in the sport.

However, their brother Sebastian chose to follow in the footsteps of his parents and is a famous tennis player today. Thanks to his spectacular performance during the 2020 French Open, Sebastian earned a name for himself after playing against some of the biggest names in the sport.

But it was not just a game between her brother and another player for Nelly Korda. Extremely concerned about Sebastian’s performance, the LPGA star once revealed her thoughts during her brother’s match with tennis ace Rafael Nadal.

In an interview towards the end of 2020, sitting along with sister Jessica, Nelly Korda detailed her stress. “On Sunday, I was driving to the course when he was finishing up against Nadal. I was very stressed,” she said. “I was like, ‘My heart rate shouldn’t be this high before I’m even stepping on the range.’”

Concerned about her own game at the same time, Nelly Korda talked about the adjustments she made to watch her brother’s game. “We changed our practice-round tee time at the ShopRite to be able to watch him,” Korda said. “We were scrambling around, trying to change our tee time, so we could watch.”

While adding details to the information, Jessica explained, “Literally texting other players, like, ‘Are you playing 18? Can we switch with you?’” Their support towards their brother was eminent by the fact that Nelly started flashing her car’s lights to indicate her brother’s victory on Friday to Jessica, who was driving in front of her.
