In 2008, the legendary sporting couple got married in the Bahamas. The news sparked excitement and admiration towards the icons and hoped for their long-lasting love. Nonetheless, the marriage failed and broke the hearts of both Hall of Famers, as well as their fans.

Despite winning so many trophies, the Tennis star still felt she could have added a lot more to her congested trophy cabinet, as she once spoke to Norman about it. According to the LIV CEO, Evert once told him, “I’ve never met anyone with your drive and determination and if I’d had that behind me I would have been more successful”.

Following Chris Evert’s words of praise, Norman too had something in return for the Tennis star. He said, “I feel the same way. I probably wouldn’t have played quite so aggressively if I’d had the benefit of Chrissie’s game management skills and probably won more”.
Undoubtedly, both legends could have achieved a lot more if they had adopted each other’s skills from early on. Nonetheless, that doesn’t undermine the legendary careers both of them had in their respective sports. Though their marriage failed, it is their character and feats in the sporting world which makes the fans still reminisce about their legacy.
