The ski star, Lindsey Vonn, and great golfer Tiger Woods were a power couple until they parted ways in May 2015. The couple started dating in March 2013, after Woods separated from his former wife, Elin Nordegren, in 2010. During their relationship, Vonn spent much time with her then-boyfriend and his kids, Sam and Charlie. But were they on good terms? Was that relationship something Vonn would cherish?

According to Vonn’s Facebook post in 2015, the former couple parted ways because of their hectic schedule. They were not able to give enough time to each other. In the same statement, she mentioned that she admired and respected Woods. However, she later revealed that there were a few tough parts, too, dating the outstanding golfer. 

Later in 2016, she appeared in an interview with Seth Myers, and she mentioned that the former number-one golfer was her hero. He was the reason she could recover from her knee injury. They used to work through pain together in the gym. Undoubtedly she loved golf, but she loved the golfer’s kids more.

Was Lindsey Vonn happy with Tiger Woods and his kids?

The couple was undoubtedly happy, and they were spotted together often. The gold-medalist skier was great with Woods’ kids too. In April 2015, Vonn and Sam, Charlie, Elin, and Woods went to the New York premiere of The Age of Adaline. Evidently, the golfer’s former wife also approved of the relationship. Vonn talked to PEOPLE and revealed her feelings about the Woods family. She believed she was lucky to have kids around.

“They’re great. They’re amazing kids, and he’s an amazing father,” said the skier. Talking further about Sam and Charlie, she said, “You know, I feel privileged to be along for the ride, and I help as much as I can. They’re great kids — I love ’em.” She was very close with his kids. The skier posted a statement when the former couple decided to break up. In that, she specifically mentioned the kids. She said, “He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Woods allegedly had a relationship with stylist Kristin Smith for the following two years, but nothing was official. However, he’s been dating Erica Herman since 2017, and the two have been seen together quite a bit since then.
