Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas has been one of the exceptional players on the ATP Tour. He has been improving with each season passing by and has managed to knock out the top players in the sport on the biggest of stages.

Besides Stefanos, there are other prominent youngsters like Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev who have managed to mark their presence as contendors of multiple grand slams.

Stefanos Tsitsipas means business in Melbourne
At the moment, players like Tsitsipas and Medvedev are still alive with their Australian Open hopes while the tournament has reached its business end. If the Russian star wins his match against Felix Auger Aliassime, he would be facing the Greek talent in the semifinals on Friday.

Over the years, both players have shared a hostile relationship. They have had verbal spats on a few occasions during their matches. However, the two have been together in the same team at the Laver Cup last season, which probably helped them become slightly familiar with each other.

Speaking on the possibility of facing Medvedev, Stefanos recently stated, “Well, my relationship with Medvedev it’s fine. It kind of got better after Laver Cup. We haven’t really spoken in the last couple of months, but our relationship is competitors on the court and kind of fighting for the same dream.”

The last spot in the men’s semifinal is up for grabs
However, Daniil is facing an uphill task against Canadian star Felix Auger Aliassime in the quarterfinal. The 21-year-old comfortably won the first two sets, putting himself in the driver’s seat at the moment.
