Recently, Serena Williams came across American singer Ciara’s wardrobe collection on Instagram. After seeing that, she commented, “Seriously I’m done. Like me and my man gotta get outta crocks.” On receiving a comment from the tennis player, the singer replied back stating, “Rena, you so silly.”

Serena Williams ready for a wardrobe change 

The American superstar tennis player was widely impressed by the Gucci collection, particularly the footwear. She felt that she and her husband Alexis Ohanian need to get rid of their Crocks and need to up their game.

Not long ago, we saw Serena at the French Open where she sported an amazing pair of designed shoes. Even at the Australian Open earlier this season, she wore a one-legged catsuit.

Coming onto tennis, the veteran has not matched her usual standards this season. After making it to the semifinal in Melbourne, she did not feature in any event until the WTA 1000 event in Rome.

During the entire clay season, she performed below par, losing in the fourth round of the French Open too. Soon after came the Wimbledon Championships, in which, she lost in the opening round match. At 3-3 in the first set, she twisted her ankle and as a result, was forced to withdraw from the tournament.

She has decided to skip the Olympic Games held in Tokyo. The number of restrictions surrounding the event played a huge role in her making that decision. It will be interesting to see how she performs during the US Series, especially the US Open 2021.
