The journey takes players onto the new island, Cayo Perico. It all begins with an introduction to a new contact found at the Los Santos nightlife scene’s latest attraction. Players can head over to the Music Locker to get their contracts. They can either go on the mission as a lone wolf or in a pack of up to four.

The date of release for this update is very significant. It was December 15 when legendary rapper Dr. Dre had released his debut solo album, 28 years ago. Therefore, to celebrate the occasion, GTA Online features a cameo from Dre.

The cameo features Dre getting out of a car at the airport, wondering “who the fuck are these people”, referring to the players. The scene ends with a gag about record executive Jimmy Iovine’s ringtone being Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks.

GTA Online DLC Cayo Perico Heist hints at GTA 6

When Rockstar released the trailer for GTA Online’s biggest DLC, fans had noticed something very interesting. The trailer had some coordinates at the bottom which, if one looked up on a map would lead directly to a road in the shape of ‘VI’.

A lot of fans and even industry analysts concluded that this is too specific a hint to ignore. Therefore, while this is nothing concrete, it at least points towards the possibility of GTA 6.
