Another day, another Good Guy Stephen Nedoroscik moment. The Olympic medalist is en route to exploring newer frontiers instead of competing professionally after the completion of the Paris Games. Taking a cue from his national teammate Suni Lee, Nedoroscik appeared in this year’s Dancing With The Stars, and he did not go into the adventure without his infectious smile. Nor without his loving heart.

An Instagram post by the gymnast’s dancing partner for the show Rylee Arnold from September 22 shows the former sporting a shy grin as he reveals what he’s planning to do with his DWTS memento. Captioned, “We need to protect Steve at ALL costs,” Arnold’s suggestion isn’t misplaced, especially considering what Brody Malone’s teammate says in the accompanying video. The brief clip shows Arnold asking what Stephen has thought about doing with the sleeves from his costume that were left out by the designers, and Nedoroscik’s answer will make you adore him a little more than you already do.

Stephen warily admits that he wants to keep the sleeves as a memento for his grandma. “She’s a big fan of the show. It was kind of her dream that I was on it,” he goes on to elaborate on how he wants to take the chance of competing in the show to bring some keepsake to his special person. While Nedoroscik explains his plans, his dancing partner expresses her overwhelmed feelings after learning about the same.

I cry that’s so cute,” Rylee’s words reflect what all fans are thinking seeing Nedoroscik being wholesome once again as his sheepish smile bares the Penn State alum’s timid emotions. While Stephen’s national teammates still come to terms with just how good his dancing stint has gone so far, it looks like Nedoroscik has other thoughts to keep him occupied instead of being thrilled by his own latent skill.

Fans have justifiably gone ga-ga over Nedoroscik’s impeccable dance routine, a much different site than seeing him dominating the pommel horse. With that, Arnold’s post is sure to get more people on board with her suggestion. While Stephen’s debut has been stunning, it certainly cannot overshadow the incredible feat he pulled off at the Paris Games last month.

From the pommel horse to the dance floor: Stephen Nedoroscik’s large kingdom

The 25-year-old was part of the history-making Tea USA that stepped up to an incredible challenge at the 33rd Olympic Games. Nedoroscik and his teammates broke the 16-year-long medal draught that saw the USA men’s gymnasts miss out on securing a spot at the podium on the grandest stage of them all. After an arduous uphill climb, the men bagged bronze in men’s artistic gymnastics in the City of Love and brought uncharted joy to fans back home. With that, Nedoroscik also hauled a bronze in the pommel horse, solidifying his status as an elite gymnast. Naturally, it wasn’t surprising when he used his accumulated wisdom from competing at such high-stakes competitions to make his DWTS debut one to remember for years to come.

While many expected Nedoroscik would jump back in action soon, especially with buddies hitting the road for the Simone Biles-led Gold Over America Tour. However, it looked like he had plans to revel in the glory of his Parisian campaign for the time by staying away from the sport altogether for a sabbatical. But seeing how his amateur dancing skills were able to go toe-to-toe with professionals at his debut, we can confidently say Stephen might not disapprove of trying out a few more moves in his upcoming performances with Arnold.
