One of the most-awaited games to launch in 2021 will be the sixth main entry of the Halo series. The game was originally lined up to release along with the new generation of Xbox consoles. However, 343 Industries thought it best to push the launch of Halo Infinite forward.

With the arrival of 2021, 343 is gearing up to release its flagship game soon enough. A Community Manager at the studio took to Twitter to express his excitement as he returned to work on the game once again.

There is still a lot of uncertainty around the release date of Halo Infinite. Even as 343 claims to have the game ready to release this year, it still hasn’t put a date to it. The closest it has come to set a date is saying that the game will release this fall.

The first title in the series, Halo: Combat Evolved, came out on November 15, 2001. This gives 343 the perfect opportunity to release Infinite on the same date this year. A 20th-anniversary release for a game-changer title in the series makes perfect sense for the studio.

While the PlayStation always manages to be way ahead of Xbox in terms of exclusives, Halo is enough to satisfy Xbox fans.

The power and performance of the Xbox Series X and Series S will give a major lift to the Halo experience. Therefore, the game will be certainly worth the wait if 343 manages to release it in time. Given the tweet by John, it looks like 343 will finish the production in time.
