The Golden State Warriors might not be signing Dwight Howard

The news was recently announced by Shams Charania, NBA insider of ‘The Athletic.’ Taking to his X account, Charania noted, “The Warriors are not expected to sign Dwight Howard or another veteran center ahead of training camp, sources tell me.” The bombshell was dropped days after the speculations of the player joining the roster circulated. The 8x All-Star was even seen working out with Warriors stars Draymond Green and Chris Paul.

While Howard could’ve been a great rotational piece for the team, NBA fans were also waiting to watch the 3x DPOY back in the league. So, the news was quite disappointing for the athlete and fans alike. The 8x NBA All-Star might not be able to join the Golden State roster, but there is still hope.

From Howard’s recent post which he deleted a while ago, neither the athlete nor his fans are giving up.

The post was captioned, “It’s far from the end of the story… Gods the author.” However, soon he deleted the post. The post could mean a new beam of hope for the fans. However, they did not forget to show their support for him.

Fans expressed their support for Dwight’s return

The ups and downs of the Dwight Howard-Golden State saga clearly annoyed a few fans. One of them wrote, “Dwight, my favorite NBA player. I hate the NBA for treating like this.”

However, even Warriors fans were flocking to vouch for Superman, saying, “You need this guy.”

Notably, the Stephen Curry-led squad are facing an issue with size. With bigs like Anthony Davis and 2x MVP Nikola Jokic contending in the West, several people thought that Howard’s frame would be beneficial for the team.

“Was a mistake that the warriors decided to not give you a contract. They will regret it whenever they will play Denver.”

While one of the fans wrote, “You got this Howard,” another added, “Come on we here waiting for u man!!”

It seems that the Orlando Magic legend and his fans have to wait for another destination.
