At just the age of 19, Iga Swiatek created history by becoming the youngest women’s singles champion since Monica Seles in 1992. Swiatek clinched her maiden Grand Slam title at the 2020 French Open without dropping a set. With the historic achievement, she became the first Polish player in history to win a major championship.

Recently, the tennis star did a Q&A session with her fans on Instagram and answered some interesting questions. Boasting a followership of over 287K on the social media platform, Swiatek regularly updates her fans about her travels and training sessions.

Among a plethora of questions, one fan asked Swiatek whether she has felt any change in her game post claiming the Roland Garros trophy. In reply to the question, Swiatek admitted that she felt proud of the way she competed during the two weeks at the French Open.

However, the teenager remarked despite making progress during the ongoing off-season; she has a few doubts about her game in the coming future.

“I’m proud of myself that I could perform well till the end of the tournament, and I was consistent every day for two weeks. Right now I think from tennis side I’m making progress and pre-season is looking better than ever. I have some doubts about my future performance because I’m gonna be in new situation, but I promised myself that I’m gonna give myself time.” answered Swiatek, during the Instagram Q&A session.

Acknowledging her stunning performances during the year, Swiatek won the WTA Fan Favorite Singles Player of the Year and was also voted the WTA Most Improved Player.

Currently, training hard for the 2021 season, a lot will be expected of Swiatek at the Australian Open next year. Over the last two occasions, Swiatek’s best result at Melbourne Park was her fourth-round exit at the 2020 Australian Open.
