Tommy Haas had a very successful career. He won 15 titles and achieved a ranking of World No. 2 in his career. Additionally, he was also an Olympic Silver Medalist before ending his career in 2018. However, the German decided to make a comeback for the exhibition in Berlin.

“I was really happy to face Tommy. Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to face each other on the Tour. So it was nice that we had one competitive match. I really admire his game style and he has had an influence on mine. Today, I think was a great match on a very high-level and he can beat pretty much anybody on a good day. So, I am happy to be through and at the end, it was a fun match and I think we both enjoyed it.”
