The Argentine is close to confirming his place in the season finale ATP Finals. The tennis player is a great soccer fan. So Schwartzman has shown his deep concern for countrymen and soccer legend Diego Maradona who recently underwent brain surgery.

Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona recently underwent brain surgery in Argentina. He is said to be recovering well. Diego Schwartzman was asked about Maradona after his second-round victory at Rolex Paris Masters.

Hailing from Argentina, Schwartzman is a huge fan of Maradona. And he revealed how much he adored Maradona through0ut his childhood.

“He’s been a sports idol since I was a kid. I’ve seen it on YouTube, not only, I’ve seen it on TV too. I’ve never seen him for real. He’s one of my soccer idols and I love soccer.” Schwartzman said.
