“He Was Sobbing!”-Israel Adesanya Says He Saw Jon Jones’ Body-Cam Footage

Israel Adesanya speaks about Jon Jones’ recent arrest. He sets their rivalry aside and empathizes with Jon Jones’ current situation.
Jon Jones was arrested late last month. He was arrested on grounds of DWI. He also faced charges for aggravated driving while intoxicated, negligent use of a deadly weapon, no proof of insurance and possession of an open container of alcohol.
Jon Jones was arrested. But he eventually avoided any further jail time as he agreed to a plea deal with the court. The plea deal requires him to spend a lot of hours doing community service and various other activities till he’s realized the gravity of his misconduct.

Israel Adesanya in an interview with Ariel Helwani spoke about Jon Jones and what he thinks of the arrest. He quotes Daniel Cormier saying, “He was a young black man at the top of his game. And he’s thrown it all away.” Israel Adesanya agrees with most of what Cormier had to say.
Israel Adesanya shares his thoughts on the case
Israel also sympathizes with Jones’ state. He said, “I felt bad for him when I watched the body-cam footage. It was at the end when he was sobbing. Like I felt bad for him.” Adesanya knows that Jon Jones messed up. What Jones did was absolutely uncalled for. But sometimes all you can do is sit back and wait for him to get better.
"I felt bad for him because I can imagine myself in that position."
Israel Adesanya has put his feud with Jon Jones to one side, saying he sympathises with the troubled UFC star who was arrested last month.

Adesanya said, “I shouldn’t even say this, but this is just me being honest. Because I can see myself in that position. I tell you, he’s in the back of the squad car thinking F**K! I’m going to have to mature a lot with this one.”

Israel Adesanya knows how hard this is going to be on Jon Jones. He keeps all their rivalry aside and feels unfortunate for his fellow colleague. As we all do, Even Adesanya hopes Jones bounces back from this. stronger and more determined than ever.
As of now the only thing on Jones’ mind will be to complete whatever the court has asked from him and get back into the octagon as soon as possible. Because as we all are witness to this, there is no man as determined inside the ring as Jon Jones.
