UFC newcomer ‘T.WRECKS’ Terrance McKinney had an outstanding performance at UFC Vegas 49. The lightweight sensation has the record for the fastest debut in UFC history, with a win via TKO in just seven seconds. Now, he has finished a fight via submission in just above two minutes. His quick finish had former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo putting the lightweight division on notice.

McKinney started off aggressively as he looked to land the straight shot, but he missed and slipped. However, he found himself out of danger with his wrestling as he reversed his opponent, Fares Ziam, and took the advantageous position on the ground. Soon after, he got the finish.

Though McKinney took a lot longer than his UFC debut, a seven-second fight is pretty rare. Even in the regional scene, he has stacked quick finishes.

Although he went for it in his second UFC fight, an encore was not on the cards. Nevertheless, the lightweight got an impressive win and put all the divisional fighters on notice.

McKinney won the fight via (2:11) Round 1 RNC submission.

Henry Cejudo is right, Terrance McKinney is a problem

‘T.WRECKS’ is now on a five-fight win streak. To top that, he has got these wins in under five minutes combined. McKinney made his UFC debut last year in one of the best performances in a debut fight when he finished Matt Frevola via a beautiful left cross.

Apart from Henry Cejudo, other fighters were also high about McKinney’s performance.

Fellow UFC lightweight prospect Paddy Pimblett also had praise for McKinney’s grappling. “Lovely finish by @twrecks155 showing everyone his grappling nice my man #UFCVegas49,” wrote the UK fighter.

‘Triple C’ has a great vision when it comes to fighting. Thus, his opinion should be considered by the other lightweight fighters.
