UFC legend and former two-time Olympian Daniel Cormier spoke about Gable Steveson in an interview for MMA Fighting on SBN. He spoke about how superhuman Gable Steveson was and how he expects him to win gold.

Gable Steveson is expected to win the gold medal in the heavyweight category in Men’s wrestling at the Olympics. The American is just 21 years of age and is already dominating the international wrestling scene.

The 6 foot tall American wrestles at the 125 kg category in freestyle wrestling. He has superior athleticism, the kind that is not usually seen in wrestlers weighing over 250 pounds. The heavyweight can easily do backflips and is very athletic.

“He’s a freak of nature. No big man should move like Gable Steveson moves. Like, let’s just be honest 260 pounds should not be doing backflips after wrestling for seven minutes against one of the best wrestlers in the world.

It just all seems like it should not be possible, but he does it man and he makes it look easy.” Daniel Cormier said.

The athletic ability of the former Minnesota man stunned Daniel Cormier. Gable Steveson has been dominating since he was in high school. He is an NCAA Division-I Champion, and Dan Hoge trophy winner.

He is the reigning Pan American Continental Champion. He’s had a great year, after winning the US Olympic Trials.

Steveson has not given up a single point in the Olympics so far. He has also defeated the reigning Olympic champion, Taha Akgul of Turkey in the quarter-finals. Steveson defeated the former champion 8-0 with a dominant display.

He won the Semi-finals against Lkhagvagerel Munkhtur with another dominant display, winning 5-0. He will now face Geno Petriashvili in the finals on Friday. The American will look to win a gold in his Olympic debut.
