‘DC’ achieved this historic feat at UFC 226. He ended Stipe Miocic’s undefeated streak via a first-round knockout. After his win, he called out former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, inviting him into the Octagon. Lesnar emerged from the audience, entered the Octagon, and shoved the new UFC Heavyweight Champion. He expressed that he was coming for Cormier in a sentence laced with expletives. Unfortunately, this fight did not happen, and may not take place in the future as well.

ESPNmma posted the video of the events following Cormier vs Miocic 1. They also shared a quote by ‘DC’ describing what it is like to stand across the Octagon with Lesnar.

“When you’re in the Octagon and you’re the enemy, it’s a much different intensity. And look, with Brock, multiply it times by 100. Because he’s a big, bad, mean son of a gun. He’s big, he’s mean, and he wants to freakin’ rip you apart.”

Is Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Cormier going to happen?

This fight may not happen as Dana White claimed Lesnar is “done” with cage fights. ‘The Beast’ spends his time at WWE, where he is the Champion.

Meanwhile, ‘DC’ decided to fight Miocic once again after Lesnar elected to remain with WWE. He lost the match. Later, in ESPN’s MMA show, he revealed to Ariel Helwani that his next fight will be his last. Cormier is reportedly targeting a Trilogy fight against Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.

Cormier also hinted at a fight against Jon Jones, despite moving on from the light heavyweight division. The fighter has never beaten Jones, and has gone on record to say that the match will mean the most to him.

Nothing can be said for sure in the world of combat sports. A Lesnar fight could still be on the cards if the right amount of money is kept on the table.
