Dear Green Bay Packers fans, assemble! Because there might be good news for you. The Packers already faced a disappointing defeat in their Week 1 game against the Eagles! With the 34-29 score, the loss turned out to become even more bitter with Jordan Love’s injury. The quarterback injured his leg during the game, hinting he would be ruled out for at least 2-3 weeks.

Jordan Love faced a painful knee injury when the Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter tackled him. As the QB tried to drop back for a pass, he was caught in a high-low tackle from both Carter and linebacker Josh Sweat, which caused him to fall and twist his left leg. Ouch, that hurts, right?

But now here is some good news! While there were speculations that the injury would mark the end of Love’s season, the Packers beat writer suggests something else. According to Ryan Woods’ X post, Malik Willis has confirmed the return of Jordan Love on the gridiron. Willis says, “He’s getting his mental reps. He’s preparing to play.

However, it is uncertain whether this would be a long shot or not. But for now, it sounds like Love will do everything possible to play on Sunday against the Colts. Malik Willis is the backup quarterback for the four-time Super Bowl-winning team. And with the speculations of Jordan being sidelined, the 2020 Dudley Award winner was all set for his fourth career start! However, now Willis’ statement has put the stamp on Jordan’s comeback!

Matt LaFleur confirms the door is “pretty open” for Jordan Love

Jordan Love’s MCL sprain left everyone guessing about the Packers’ quarterback situation. But on Wednesday, the Green and Gold’s Head Coach put an end to all the questions. Matt LaFleur said, “He is doing a nice job. He has spent a lot of time in the training room.” However, the former offensive coordinator also raised some concerns!

While Love’s injury is not serious enough to keep him away from the gridiron, the Packs are still on the lookout. LaFleur mentioned how Love must be confident enough to play on Sunday. And most importantly, he has to be cleared to perform. The Packers are trying to understand whether the quarterback could protect himself!

However, the team is trying to cover all bases. According to Malik Willis, he is ready for whatever happens. The player said, “Just making sure that whenever my number’s called, I’m ready. Whether Jordan can go or he can’t, just try to be ready.” With Willis participating in the training and LaFleur giving mixed signals about Jordan’s return, the Packs quarterback room still looks neither here nor there.

And while everyone was practicing on Wednesday, the New Mexico Bowl MVP missed the training. And there is a twist! The Packers Head Coach believes Love doesn’t need practice to play. Despite the starter quarterback’s minor injury, the team is really on the edge.

With the head coach and backup QB giving positive updates about Love, we are pinning our hopes on the Sunday game. However, whether he actually plays in the next game is still up in the air, until he is cleared.
