Not everyone gets to play superhero 24/7—just ask Superman about kryptonite. Athletes need their moments to shine, and one rising star at the All-American Game nailed it, saying, ‘Not everyone gets a turn.’ The bold statement shook up the high school football scene, sparking chatter among players and fans. Now, all eyes are on this 5-star offensive tackle—so much so that even fellow 5-star tackle Jackson Cantwell is watching closely.

All the stars came out to support Georgetown’s offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho. This kid isn’t just a rising star for the Hoyas, he’s a top 2026 prospect. No wonder he’s grinding so hard. He recently posted, “I ain’t missin’ my shot in this 💩; everyone don’t get a turn #eftf⚡️,” while training for the Under Armour game. Players were instantly fired up, showing him major love.

Well, the hype around Immanuel Iheanacho is real, and his fellow athletes aren’t holding back their admiration for him. First up we have Archbishop’s quarterback Malik Washington, who gave a shout-out with, “THEEEEEE BIG MANNY,” while France Edge’s Zion Elee made his feelings crystal clear, calling him “THEE IHEANACHO.” Even Mount Miguel’s ATH Brandon Arrington Jr. chimed in with a 💯, and last but not least, Nixa’s offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell added a few 😮‍💨 emojis for good measure. Well, Immanuel Iheanacho’s record speaks volumes of his abilities as a player. This dude is a game changer, leading Georgetown Prep to an 8-2 record in 2023. That’s the reason Immanuel has 30 scholarship offers and is currently the top recruit in Maryland for the 2026 cycle. What might shock you about this is the number of offers he holds, and it’s just the start of the year. At the Under Armour All-American Game, Immanuel said that he is currently sitting at around 18 teams. That’s insane.

Moreover, that’s not the end of it, as Immanuel Iheanacho has bigger plans ahead of this year. In January, Immanuel plans to attend Texas A&M’s Junior Day on January 11th. Plus, he’s also hoping to schedule visits with some big programs, including the Tennessee Volunteers, Oklahoma Sooners, and USC Trojans. With all these powerhouse schools in the mix, it’s shaping up to be an exciting month for his recruitment. But why this much hustle when he already has his top two favorites in mind?

What’s your perspective on:

Will Immanuel Iheanacho's choice between Oregon and Georgia redefine college football's power dynamics?

Is Immanuel Iheanacho in two minds?

It’s evident that the No. 2 offensive tackle of class 2026, Immanuel Iheanacho, will have programs going head over heels for him. However, it’s interesting to know which team holds a special place in his heart. Don’t worry; it’s not a long one. First up, we have Oregon as his top choice. Well, the Ducks’ undefeated track record speaks for them.

Even Immanuel praised the program, speaking to On3, “Oregon is my new No. 1, but Georgia is right there at No. 2, not too far off.” That’s not the only thing. Immanuel is also attracted to the Ducks’ coaching staff. “I just love the whole dynamic, the whole campus at Oregon, the practice fields, how the weight room is set up, and I love the strength and conditioning coach, Coach (Wilson) Love down there; it was straight love when I got down there,” he said. Moreover, there is a possibility that even Jackson Cantwell might join the Ducks; that’s like creating a powerful offense. Two OTs in one would really change the whole dynamic of the game.

But it looks like it’s not going to be an easy ride for the Oregon Ducks, as Immanuel Iheanacho seems to be torn between two powerhouse schools—Oregon and Georgia. While the Ducks are currently Immanuel’s No. 1 choice, Georgia is definitely still in the mix. It’s like trying to choose between two of your favorite ice cream flavors.

“I love how they’re very raw. They’re gritty; they’re everything that you see with nice, old-fashioned, smash-mouth football. They have Coach (Kirby) Smart. I like the campus down there, and overall I appreciate the brand of football,” Iheanacho noted. Well, Immanuel’s love for Smart’s team is evident. But that sentiment feels a bit outdated after their loss to Notre Dame.

Moreover, there is no intel from the Dawgs’ side on getting Immanuel Iheanacho’s commitment for the class of 2026. But as far as the Ducks are concerned, they have 10 commitments for the class of 2026, and Dan Lanning is hoping to land the big fish, that’s 6’7″, 345-pound Immanuel, very soon. Now with both Oregon and Georgia in the mix, it’s gonna be a dogfight! Will the Ducks lock him down, or can the Bulldogs make a late surge?
