It’s out of luck to have the team’s torchbearer leave you in the midst of a battle. The South Carolina High School team is experiencing its worst nightmares this season. The team has to move forward through the entire season without their mentor and head coach, De’Angelo Bryant. He is dealing with serious allegations of unethical behavior that have resulted in his suspension.
Today an X user tweeted about this unfortunate incident that happened with De’Angelo Bryant, the head coach of a South Carolina high school, saying “Gray Collegiate head football coach suspended over recruiting violation.” Well, according to the reports, Bryant has to pay a hefty amount of $2500 and is currently kept on warning for one year for recruiting violations. Also, Bryant is not the only one who is under suspension; an assistant coach was also given a warning and will stay out for the rest of the year.

It’s quite surprising, knowing that De’Angelo Bryant is the same guy under whom his former team, Silver Bluff, entered the 2A championship game. Not only that, for the same game in 2021, Bryant won the title of Region Coach of the Year. However, the question that pops into everyone’s head is, can a person with such high-end skills do something of this sort?
Well, the answer is there is still some hope left for De’Angelo Bryant, as the S.C. High School coach still has one more chance to get their vote of 10-5 overturned. However, there is no such announcement of the exact dates the school is planning to appeal to the panel. But getting a coach out of the program on moral ethics for regular and postseason needs a second thought. For now, let’s know the actual reason behind such strong charges against Bryant.

Have an interesting take?
This miserable incident involves a middle school player who enrolled at the S.C. High School in July, but within a few weeks, he took back his name from the program and tried to get back to his former school. However, when he tried this, the school declared him ineligible to play for them anymore because switching schools multiple times in a short period is often avoided to prevent any potential transfer feud.
After the case came to light, the high school football league’s committee member voted for De’Angelo Bryant for suspension, and after getting 10-5 votes against him, Bryant was ruled out of the program. However, the school confirmed that the student never practiced with the War Eagles and clarified that Bryant was not the head coach when the student expressed an interest in the program. Unfortunately, it seems they were unable to find any success with that information. For now, let’s hope the case gets in the right direction and Bryant and his team make the best out of their only chance to prove their innocence.
