Roger Federer created the Laver Cup to give fans those moments that they would have never dreamt of. By diving the tennis world into the two camps of Team Europe and Team World, Federer opened up a whole new range of opportunities.

As the best European players were teamed up together, we got to see those team combinations that we could have never imagined. The trend continued in 2018 as we saw arch-rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic teaming up for doubles competition.

However, what took away the limelight was an extremely funny moment from the first match. It left both Novak and Roger in splits. Let’s find out what happened as Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer took on Jack Sock and Kevin Anderson.

Talking about the match, Novak and Roger went on to win the hard-fought first set 7-6. However, their inexperience in the doubles game began showing up soon as the Sock and Anderson snatched the second set 6-3. The final game was a tie break which Sock and Anderson won by a margin of 10-6.

Thus, they were successful in winning the match 6-7(5), 6-3, 10-6 to give the lead to Team World. Hopefully, we’ll get to see many such interesting combinations in the Laver Cup in the future. For that, the tennis season will have to resume though.
