IO Interactive’s ‘coat of arms’ Hitman 3 will hit the shelves in January 2021. This will bring an end to the trilogy that began its course in 2016. It will release for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC with pre-orders to go live later this month.

A couple of days back, Epic Games Store had announced the first part of the trilogy would be free to purchase on the store from August 27 to September 3. And now, IO has announced that Hitman 3 will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for one year.

Hitman 3: Epic Games Store Exclusive

If you’re a PC gamer and wish to buy the upcoming game when it hits the stores next year, you’ll have to purchase it through the Epic Games Store.

“As an independent studio, our partnership with Epic has given us the freedom to create Hitman 3 exactly as we imagined and self-publish the game to our players directly,” IO explained.

“It will also be possible for PC players to import locations from the previous two games into Hitman 3 on Epic Games Store. We want to make it a seamless process for our PC players to enjoy Hitman 3 on a different PC platform and continue to enjoy the benefits of our World of Assassination.”

This exclusivity deal isn’t a surprise. IO, being an independent studio, isn’t as huge as other studios. They parted ways with Square Enix after the release of the original Hitman but retained the IP. This exclusivity deal won’t stop the game from being a success.

New Locations

The last part of the trilogy will feature six different locations. That means Agent 47 will cause havoc in different parts of the world, and this includes Dubai.

The trailer that came out a few days back was about a mission in the game that takes us to Dartmoor, England, for a murder mystery.

Agent 47 has had a breathtaking journey so far. Hitman 3 will be more ‘intimate’ and will hopefully give us a fine series finale.
