Hope for United Over De Gea

The deal for David de Gea seems to be anything but done until now when sources have told that David de Gea is worried about Iker Casillas’s influence in the capital city of Spain. Iker Casillas does not wish to surrender his number 1 jersey like it was known to be the case earlier and is ready to provide full competition to David de Gea.

The 34 year old who is known as Saint Iker in Madrid posted on his official Facebook page that David de Gea should be prepared for a battle should he arrive at the Bernabeu.

He posted: “After 25 years at Real Madrid, what I learned the very first day is still valid – if you want to win, fight until the end.”

Real Madrid have started bidding for United number 1 De Gea from a low amount  £13m while United would not sell their star player for anything less than £25m.  De Gea is known as the best keeper in the League and one of the best in the world after two great seasons at the club. Casillas meanwhile has endured a tough phase and has been criticised by many including the Bernabeu faithful.

While the post by Iker says he’s ready to fight for his place, it may also suggest that a deal for De Gea has been agreed and the Real Madrid captain knows of the new signing.
