Call of Duty Mobile recently added a new ammunition attachment in the armory called the Thermite Reload. This is specifically for the Kilo-Bolt Action, arguably the only marksman rifle in the game. The Thermite Reload attachment is essentially supposed to enhance the performance of the Kilo-Bolt, while also adding a fun touch with the burn effect it creates before the kill.

Players, however, need to acquire this attachment. They can do this via two options: the paid option and the free to play option. The paid option requires players to try their luck by purchasing the ‘Phase Shift Crate’. However, this does not guarantee that players will get the attachment unless they unlock the Kilo-Bolt Action- Digital Death. This weapon blueprint comes with the Thermite attachment as one of its unique Gunsmith attachments.

Free to Play method to get Thermite in Call of Duty Mobile

To unlock the attachment for free, players need to kill 50 enemies using the Kilo-Bolt Action while crouching. While this might seem like a hard feat to achieve, it can be completed in approximately two public matches of Domination in Crossfire. This map allows players to stack up plenty of kills thanks to the open mid-section. Additionally, since this game mode is not very popular, it is likely that players will match to play with bots, thereby minimizing the number of games they have to play.

Preferably, players should use a 6x scope for a longer range. The vulture perk or full ammo can also be useful to prevent running out of ammo in the match.

The best position to be in to maximize kills in Crossfire is in front of the A or C spawn buildings overlooking the mid-road on the map. It is simple to get kills from this position since the range does not allow bots to get a close enough lock on you to kill you. However, the 6x scope allows the player to get accurate one-shot kills.

Ideally, players should be able to complete their target within two matches.

Is the Thermite attachment worth the hype?

Possibly one of the few advantages of using the Thermite Reload is that it could give players an edge with the one-shot kill range. This means that even if you hit someone in the lower region of their body, you could probably still get a kill, although it will be delayed.

However, the attachment can prove to be a disadvantage in close range firefights. Since the opponent does not die immediately, they get a split second window to kill you as well. Additionally, if you use the attachment from long range, your teammates can steal your kills while the opponent is burning. Therefore, the attachment does not seem like a very valuable addition to the armory.
