Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War has been an astounding success so far. It has made huge sales worldwide and is on its way to become one of the highest-grossing games in the franchise.

Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War released on April 21 and has received a positive response from the community. Season 1 had turned out to be a huge disappointment for players owing to the lack of Zombies content. The developers fixed this with the new Outbreak mode in Season 2 and have followed a similar approach in the latest season.

However, if you’re still unsure about investing in the game, Activision is currently providing free access to the players. The available content includes six multiplayer maps, four multi-team maps, six gunfight maps, and Zombies Outbreak.

Details of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season 3 free access

Unlike Season 2, the developers did not announce the free access for Season 3. It started on April 23, at 10 AM PT, and will end on April 28, at 10 AM PT.

To download the free access variant of the game, search “Cold War Free Trial” on your platform’s respective store. It is worth noting that this is a separate file from the actual game, but might be present in the add-on files.

Free access is a great opportunity for free-to-play Warzone players

All the progress that you make while playing the free trial carries over to the full game if you purchase it later with the same Activision account. The same applies for Call of Duty Warzone, and this is the right time for players to upgrade their weapons.

The Double XP and Double Weapon XP events in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are also live at the moment. They began on April 23, at 10 AM PT, and will end on April 26, at 10 AM PT.

Free-to-play Call of Duty Warzone players can make the most out of this free access period by upgrading weapons such as the FFAR-1, the AUG, and the Krig-6. BOCW is not only free, but is handing out bonus XP, which will further ease the process.
