Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone is ready to make UFC history. He wants to be the first fighter ever to fight thrice in one week.

As we know, Dana White has huge plans for this May. He has already announced that May 9th is UFC’s official date to make a comeback, amidst all this pandemic scare. But he also wants to go a step further. He said there will be subsequent events even on the 13th and 16th of May. That’s 3 fight nights in one week.

Donald Cerrone has agreed to take on Anthony Pettis in a rematch at UFC 249 in Florida on May 9. He’s eager to get back into the Octagon and redeem himself after the humiliating 40-second loss to Conor McGregor in January. But if given the chance, he’d go out and fight all 3 nights the same week.

Donald Cerrone hints at retirement

Donald Cerrone further said it’s around that time where he can see the fights having an impact on his body. The continuous fighting will eventually catch up with him. He said, “But you know what else is funny, I can see the end of the tunnel man. You know what I mean, it’s sucks. It’s there and I’m getting old. I can feel it. Can’t keep up with these young cants anymore. I wanna say, a couple of more years I’ve got. Honestly, I’m not talking about retirement now. But I can SEE. I can see the end of the tunnel now, man. So probably, realistically, I’ve got a couple of years and that’s pushing it. “
