Roger Federer feels that he has a really good chance at this year’s Wimbledon and claims it’s the best preparation he has ever had before this tournament.

“It’s probably been the best preparation I’ve ever had for Wimbledon because we have a week more on the grass. This year I feel my game is better”, said the 17-time Grand Slam winner, who will begin his quest for an eighth Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Federer who is likely to meet either Andy Murray or Rafael Nadal in the semi-final said that winning Halle has really helped him and thinks it’s a good omen ahead of Wimbledon.

Federer also cleared the air about his retirement and said he has no plans to hang his boots just yet.
“I don’t want to go there with my thoughts because the more I think about it, the closer I am to retirement. Clearly I need to think about it eventually, but not for the moment.”

Federer said that while Djokovic is the favourite, he also has what it takes to win another major.
