“Eventually, I said yes” – Serena Williams

Alexis knew very little about tennis and Williams wasn’t a Reddit user at that time. However, as they say, pairs are made in heaven, the couple also met by chance. While Serena was having her breakfast with her friends, Alexis came and sat down at her table. This is how the two met for the first time.

Serena also recalled the story and revealed how she got attracted to Ohanian at their first encounter.

“This trip started in Rome 5 or 6 years ago. I’m the worst with timelines. He sat at my table. I asked him to leave. He refused. I found that hot. I asked him if he likes truffles. He said yes. Eventually, I said yes. And here we are, 5 or 6 years later,” Williams wrote on Instagram.

After giving birth to their daughter Olympia in September 2017, Alexis and Serena tied the knot in New Orleans in November.

However, with Serena being busy on the WTA Tour which extends for 11 months in a year and Alexis handling his business, the family rarely got a chance to be together. Hence, the couple is certainly enjoying their quarantine with their two-year-old daughter.
