Serena And Venus Williams’ Special Relationship
The Q&A session started with Serena asking her sister whether she loves her. Venus replied saying that Serena knows she does and that the two of them have a special relationship. She said,
“Serena and I have always had a special relationship. So, there are 5 of us and I am the fourth, and Serena is the fifth. She is the only sister I am older too so I have always felt the need to take care of her and inversely she feels like she has to take care of me.”
This is certainly a special relationship, but Venus did mention certain instances where she did not feel that way. Considering her tone when she said that, she was probably joking.

As rivals, Serena leads the head to head rivalry 18-12, which is something Venus will definitely want to improve. As partners, Serena and Venus Williams have been very successful. They have 14 Grand Slam titles and 3 Olympic Medals, which proves that great rivals can also be amazing partners.
This partnership is something we haven’t seen since 2018 and we are not going to for a while, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic which has suspended the WTA tour. Hopefully, we will see Serena and Venus playing together again, if and when, the tour returns in July.
