Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray had a fun, interactive conversation on Instagram live today. When two tennis greats have a conversation, you know most of it is going to be about the sport. However, one of the funniest moments came when the pair were discussing something other than tennis. To add to the delight of the moment, another player made his presence felt through the comments section.

Novak and Andy talked about a great many things, discussed other players, their own careers and even had a few laughs. The funniest moment of the conversation came while the two were discussing their fondest memory in the year 2015.

Novak Djokovic jokes about player’s fashion sense

Novak Djokovic started the hilarious bit of the interaction as he recalled the highlight of the year. And it wasn’t exactly tennis related.

“The fondest memory or the biggest highlight I had of that year is not tennis-related; it’s actually Stan’s attire. You remember his shorts, the year he won?”

“Yeah, they were horrific, weren’t they”, agreed Andy.

“My God. Stan, if you’re watching this, I hope you burn the shorts (both players grinning). No, but I think he made a really cool joke out of it. He made it like a symbol of his whole tournament. It was like a lucky charm.”

As it turned out, Stan Wawrinka was actually watching the live session on Instagram. In fact, he even made sure the pair knew it. The Swiss champion flipped the pair off in the comment section.

Stan was never going to take an attack on his fashion sense lying down.

Andy did notice the gesture and let Novak know too.

“He just put a comment with the middle finger up.”

And the pair were once again back to giggling away to glory.

Well, Stan may have lost his way with the shorts, but he did win the French Open that year so I think he’ll be alright.
