For years, I just didn’t talk about it. You’re taught to just get through it, especially growing up as a boy nobody really talked about feeling the pressure,” said the Olympic champion.

Seeing other athletes being vocal about mental wellness and expressing their feelings openly, comforted White. Moreover, it inspired him to do the same.

Having other athletes talk about it was really inspiring to me, so then I started talking about it, because it affects us all, even people outside of athletics. Nowadays, I just talk about it. I just bring it up. I don’t pretend it’s not happening,” he added.

White’s achievements have made him one of the most inspirational athletes ever. A man with many talents, White’s a professional snowboarder, who’s also into skateboarding. Moreover, he also enjoys music and acting and loves to surf.

Doing different things in life and exploring other areas is why White finds life interesting. He feels one doesn’t need to stick to a particular thing.

I think that’s the best part of life. You don’t have to stick to one lane. What’s your passion and what are you into? Just because you’re creative in one area doesn’t mean you can’t transcend other things,” said the Olympian.

White’s perspective of looking at life is unique and interesting. Clearly, the athlete believes in making the most out of each day. However, will he make the most of his 5th Olympic appearance next year?
