Riot Games has been pushing hard to build a global competitive scene with Valorant. The company is really hopeful about building a competitive ecosystem in this game, much like that of League of Legends, Riot’s iconic MMORPG title. While the first global championship of the game is right around the corner, many big names in the global eSports circuit have announced their Valorant roster.

Esports organizations like G2 Esports, Team Vitality, and Team Liquid are some of the names that are about to be a part of Valorant’s growing competitive ecosystem. Amidst all this, the former #1 rank holder in the North American pro leaderboard of the title, TenZ, has stated on a recent stream that he might be coming back to the pro scene soon.

This comes as big news since Cloud 9 recently announced their competitive Valorant roster. Most of you know that TenZ was formerly a part of the organization’s CS: GO roster. Cloud 9 signed up the player who held the #1 rank in the NA Valorant leaderboard. The player, Michael “poiz” Possis, beat TenZ to occupy the said spot on the leaderboard.

TenZ “might be back sooner than expected” to competitive Valorant
TenZ had announced last month that he has stepped down from the mantle of a competitive player and will now be focusing on his career as a content creator. With TenZ taking his leave and functioning as a full-time streamer under the Cloud 9 banner, the former Valorant roster had taken quite a blow. It might be safe to say that TenZ was perhaps the only strength of the former C9 roster.
Although C9 has built a new roster with a host of fresh talent and is quite optimistic about it, the possibility of TenZ’s return comes as a delight. However, we do not know for sure when he will make his return. On the stream, he simply said, “… I might come back sooner than expected, but I’m really just deciding what I want to do.”
