But the Thai superstar felt a need to tackle another goal outside the hustle and bustle of his martial arts career – his evolution from an adult to a husband and potentially a father.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon now has other responsibilities beyond fighting
The Thai superstar recently tied the knot, marrying his girlfriend and fellow Muay Thai fighter Aida Looksaikongdin. Speaking to ONE Championship on his relationship and marriage, Rodtang shared, “I met Aida in 2020. We talked through messages and got closer until we decided to date each other. We once broke up because we didn’t understand each other. But when we both grew up, we talked to each other again and decided to begin again in our relationship until we were married.”

Still only 25, “The Iron Man” is very much at the peak of his career. Undefeated in all 13 of his striking fights in the promotion, Rodtang has evolved into one of the world’s most popular and beloved combat sports athletes.

And while he’s focused on his next assignment, Edgar Tabares, at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5, Rodtang wants to plan for his future ahead.

Of course, his goal to become a three-sport World Champion will remain, but ideally, one of the most dominant fighters in ONE wants to enjoy a similar lifestyle once he decides to hang his gloves – whenever that may come.

Rodtang said, “I always wanted to live the married life and have a family because I’m getting older. I’ve been a fighter for a long time and I’m tired. You can’t stay in this career forever. As a fighter, time is limited for us in this career. I want to live the rest of my life with my happy family.”

Above all, he wants to set an example for his kids, in the same way, he has inspired other martial artists to achieve greatness in their careers. He added, “I want to have kids and enjoy a couple’s life. And if I can, I will have my own gym for our next generation of fighters. Of course, since I have a family now, I must have more determination. And I have an explicit goal to be a role model for my children. I want them to see dad as their idol.”
