UFC 244 is in the books now where we saw two of the baddest fighters in the history of the sports battle it out inside the octagon in front of a sold-out Madison Square Garden. This fight did end controversially as the doctors stopped the fight due to the cut around the eye of Nate Diaz. However, Jorge Masvidal sent the message loud and clear in the three rounds that were fought.

Jorge Masvidal came close to finish Nate Diaz on multiple occasions, he was 3-0 going into the 4th round before the match was stopped, and he dominated Diaz both on feet and on the ground. Nate Diaz did a much better job in the third round compared to the first two, and that gave the fans hope that probably Diaz would have made a come back and would have won the fight. Well, in a recent interview with ESPN, Jorge Masvidal reacted to fans and media’s comments on the stoppage.

“As far as the fight goes I don’t want him to stop it. But I know it was only gonna get worst from there. Cause I had taken his eye out, we have so much blood coming, his vision is blurred. I am gonna keep landing my big hooks on that left side and switching to southpaws, then landing big hooks, and then playing regular stands, and touching him back up with my jabs, that’s not gonna take a lot of energy out of me beside me being in great shape.”

Well, Masvidal still has a ton of respect for Nate Diaz and he understands why Diaz was upset after the fight was stopped. However, for the fans and the media who said that Masvidal would have gassed out in the championship rounds, the BMF has a few harsh words.

Masvidal continued:

“That’s just disrespectful. People say that ‘Nah, he was gonna get tired and gassed out in 4th and 5th’. Mother fu**er, F**k you. I bust my fu***ng ass every day so I don’t gas out in 4th and 5th. You gonna piss me off and get slapped off if you tell me that shit to my face that I am gonna run out of gas. I will slap the fu***ng shit out of you.”

It’s understandable why the fans were disappointed with the stoppage, however, discrediting Jorge Masvidal after the performance he put at UFC 244 is unfair, to say the least. At the moment, it does not seem a rematch is on the table considering Dana White has shown zero interest in it.
