John Fury, Tyson Fury’s father, recently called Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, and Evander Holyfield out for a fight. He claims that he is more than willing to take one anyone of these legends. And what’s more, he actually fancies his chances.

The former bare-knuckle fighter has been training with his son, who happens to be in the midst of his training for his upcoming trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder for the heavyweight strap.

The upcoming bout between Wilder and Fury is set to take place at the end of this year but hasn’t received an official date as yet. With a deadline set for February 2021, they’re eager to lock in a date.

While training with his son, John Fury, with his newfound confidence and potential as an aged fighter, has gone on record to call out boxing legends.

He said, “I’m confident I’d beat any man, 50-plus, on the planet. Here I am, I’m ready, fit, been training, I feel good, let’s get it on. Now I’m fit, let’s talk about some proper fighting men that have had fighting experience.

“Let’s go: Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson — all of those men in their 50s, my age, let’s have a go.”

John Fury is confident of his chances

Both Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are planning a return to boxing as well. Iron Mike is set to take on Roy Jones Jr. in a spectacular 8 round exhibition fight this November.

And as far as Holyfield is concerned, the 57-year-old has been training ahead of his own stunning comeback to the sport as well.

Tyson Fury’s dad went on to say, “I’m John Fury, I’m a bum, done nothing in the professional ranks. But what you done then and what you are now is two different things.

“I believe the training I’ve put in with my son and what’s happened to my son and where he is now has rubbed off on me. I will give any man on this globe a good fight so let’s get it on.”
