The past couple of days proved to be really exciting for eSports. First of all, Fortnite got its much-awaited car update. On the other hand, Call of Duty Warzone got a major update today ushering in Season 5 of Modern Warfare. While we are at it, we may even mention that Valorant got its 1.05 patch update y, bringing a new agent and other fixes. But the cherry on the top is, I think we all agree, the fact that Ninja is streaming today on Twitch. Now, the man basically went MIA since he left Mixer, except his one-time appearance on YouTube last month.

We do not know what this means in terms of where Ninja will be streaming now. But we can try to break it down in order to make assumptions.

On the stream, he makes clear where he stands in his relationship with Twitch. He mockingly says, “I’m kind of like, in a thing but not really. Like, I’m allowed to see other people”. To this DrLupo says that if this was on Facebook, Ninja could say that his relationship status is “It’s complicated”.

Now, we have some guesses as to what he might be doing. Ninja is not currently signed to any streaming platform out there. His appearance on YouTube fetched him around 160K views, and today’s Twitch stream saw immense viewership numbers as well, although today’s stream was quite early in the morning. As Ninja says, he is free to look for opportunities on various platforms.

What we believe, is that he is trying to check and compare the possibilities of streaming on Twitch and YouTube before finalizing a decision. These appearances are like teasers for the platforms, and the viewers on these platforms. It is a matter of time before he figures out his inference from these ‘trial streams’ on both the platforms and soon we will know which platform he finally gravitates towards.
