Nick Kyrgios On The New Event
As you can see in the above Twitter posts, Nick Kyrgios was not very interested in the upcoming event when he heard about it. He replied to the UTS by saying that with everything going on, he is just not on board with any new tennis even being played.
The UTS did not let this Tweet slip past them and replied to the Aussie. They said that his reason makes a lot of sense and that they respect his decision. In addition to that, they also said that this an event that could be played in the coming years and that they would love Nick Kyrgios to be a part of it.
Since the Australian has been actively taking part in many exhibitions like the Laver Cup, it is likely that he will play this event also in the coming years. And that is something that the UTS will be hoping for.

After months of no tennis at all, it is good to see that the sport is returning with some exhibitions. Many people will be hoping that it will lead to the return of professional tennis especially the Grand Slams. Sadly, Kyrgios is not sure about these events taking place especially the US Open.
He believes that with the coronavirus and the riots taking place in the United States, tennis should return only after these challenges are overcome. Many people have agreed with him on this topic.
