What did Rafael Nadal say?

Rafael Nadal revealed that even though he misses Roland Garros, he wouldn’t worry too much about it. There are better things to take care of.

“Honestly, I don’t think about that. I think the situation is too tough to think about where I would be if…We are living in a crisis and we are living today under an emergency situation, no? I just tried to not think during all this period of time about what I would do if this thing not happened. My mind is not working that way. Just trying to stay positive, trying to understand and accepting what’s happening today, and we need to live with this now.”

“If for one year we can’t play in some tournaments, is tough of course, because I’m not 21 any more. Missing almost a year of my career is something that I am not happy with. At the same time that’s part of life. That’s not a big thing, no? A big thing is all the lives that we lost and all the families that lost somebody in the family. A lot of families suffering the loss of people that they love. A lot of families suffering, too, because the economical crisis is high already, but is going to be high, are going to suffer a lot.”

Loss of life more important

Rafael Nadal revealed that he agrees the loss of this time is very harmful to him. However, the loss of lives was way more grave.

“For me personally, is difficult to complain and thinking about I am sad because I should be playing Roland Garros today. Okay, of course, I love playing Roland Garros. Of course, I would love to be there. But my mind today understand that I am not thinking at all about that. There is so many more important things today than any sports event. Honestly, I don’t think about that. I think the situation is too tough to think about where I would be if…We are living in a crisis and we are living today under an emergency situation, no?
