Masvidal did not shy away from calling out one of the all-time greats for a potential match-up if he decides to come back to the octagon.

“Well, they’ve said this about me, that I resurrect fighters and then I retire them again. So, I wouldn’t mind if GSP jumped on that campaign. In all honesty, as a competitor, I want to f*cking break his face. I want to go out there and give him everything I got. But I respect the time what he’s done.”

Georges St. Pierre’s legacy has left a mark for many fighters to follow and pursue. Despite saying what he said, Masvidal had nothing but respect for the former welterweight and middleweight champion of the world.

“He took I don’t know how many years off, came back, beat Bisping for the legitimate middleweight title. Dude’s a stud. He’s a f*cking animal, bro. I would put everything into my being, into my soul, to end this individual, because he’s that good.”

Georges St. Pierre’s return to the octagon seems highly unlikely. However, St. Pierre has always hinted at a return to the octagon if the opponent adds more glory to his legacy.
