The Indian Wells tennis tournament qualifiers have just begun and a number of players are battling it out for the title. This tournament is also known as the BNP Paribas open for sponsorship reasons. The Indian Wells Tennis Garden is home to the 2 largest stadium with more than 16000 seats. Swiss legend Roger Federer comes into this tournament as the defending champion. In other words, he is the favourite among the fans and bookies. As the tournament rages on, fans will be wondering where to bet online. The Swiss ace is currently chasing a record sixth title. Though he is the current world number 1, he will consolidate that position only if he reaches semis.

Meanwhile, Serbian player and former World number 1, Novak Djokovic will return to action for the first time since the Australian Open. Argentina’s Juan Martin Del Potro also comes into this tournament on the back of a title victory in Mexico. Other big names include Marin Cilic, Alexander Zverev, Kevin Anderson, Dominic Thiem and Grigor Dimitrov

Meanwhile on the WTA front, Elena Vesnina is the defending Indian Wells champion. However, Simona Halep will be the top seed. There also a number of returnees in the women’s circuit like Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams. In terms of juicy matchups, there might be a potential third round clash between the Williams sisters. Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova has her work cut out in the first round itself as she faces Naomi Osaka. Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard has been awarded a wildcard entry. Other big names on the women’s front include Garbine Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Agnieszka Radwanska, Karolina Pliskova and Jelena Ostapenko.
