The Indian Wells tennis tournament qualifiers have just begun and a number of players are battling it out for the title. This tournament is also known as the BNP Paribas open for sponsorship reasons. The Indian Wells Tennis Garden is home to the 2nd largest stadium with more than 16000 seats. Swiss legend Roger Federer comes into this tournament as the defending champion. In terms of juicy matchups, there might be a potential third round clash between the Williams sisters. Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova has her work cut out in the first round itself as she faces Naomi Osaka. Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard has been awarded a wildcard entry. Other big names on the women’s front include Garbine Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Agnieszka Radwanska, Karolina Pliskova and Jelena Ostapenko.
