Novak Djokovic has been receiving heavy criticism from all sides. World No.1 is infected with the coronavirus but that hasn’t stopped all the hostile comments. Adria Tour has been canceled and the organizers are being scrutinized. But there are a few who are with the Serbian and not blaming him for the disaster.

One of the few is the World No.25 Dayana Yastremska. She has voiced her support for the World No.1. She went on Instagram and in a post showed her support for the Serbian.

“It is nauseating and sickening seeing what Novak is going through. The whole blame was put on the person who just wanted to bring joy and positive emotions to people” said the Ukrainian.

“Novak Djokovic has a great soul and is a great man” – Dayana Yastremska

She is disgusted with the criticism of Djokovic. Djokovic has contracted the coronavirus and instead of helping him with wishes and prayers, people are only giving him harsh words and blames.

“ Instead of the words and vibes of support in his fight against the illness, all he is getting are the words of criticism,” Dayana wrote on her Instagram post.

She believes Novak is a legend of the sport and has a huge fan following. He is a motivation for a lot of people and many young players look up to him.

She also said a lot of positive things about the Adria Tour contrary to what others say. She is upset by the situation caused by the Adria Tour but believes that it wasn’t done to harm anybody. And if she gets an opportunity to host such a tournament she wouldn’t hesitate.

“I am afflicted and upset by the situation that has emerged around the organization of the “Adria Tour” tournament in Serbia. If I had an opportunity to host the same kind of tournament, I would not hesitate a second,” Dayana said.

“I am sure that the tournament hosts did not want this whole mess to happen, but it did,” she added.

All in all, Dayana wanted to help Djokovic with his recovery. The criticism surely would affect the player’s mind so support from someone would be graciously welcomed by Djokovic. Time will tell how things settle down and the season resumes.
