International ODI called off at Feroz Shah Kotla ground

Indian cricket team already have won the series with a match left against Sri Lanka. Both teams were all set to face each other in the final ODI of 2009-2010 series between India and Sri Lanka.
India led this series 3-1, and Sri Lanka were looking for a consolation win having had a disastrous tour in which they also lost the Test series 2-0.
From ball one the Sri Lankan batsmen faced diffiulties against indian bowling attack. The new Kotla pitch was slow and had uneven bounce.Sri Lanka were struggling at 83/5 in the 24th over when their captain Kumar Sangakkara protested against the uneven bounce in the newly-laid wicket, which alternates between being grassy and bald every few inches.
Finally play was called off and match was cancelled. However India won the five match series 3-1. But this incident was a disgrace for Indian cricket and BCCI.
