Of course, From Software did an incredible job designing every smallest thing in Elden Ring in such a manner that it surprised fans every single second. There were hidden bosses, and there were whole new areas in the underground somewhere. In short, that open world was full of exciting stuff to explore.
But the developers say Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will not be as long as their RPG outing. And there’s a good reason for that too. By nature, the Armored Core series has always been a straightforward, linear experience. That is why it makes sense for the game to not be even close to the length of Elden Ring.
They are two very different games; a report indicates this game would be somewhere close to 50–60 hours long with around 100 missions to complete. Players could not complete Elden Ring in 50–60 hours. That game demands a different kind of focus. It’s not even a straightforward action title like Armored Core.

And let’s be honest here: a game like Armored Core VI taking 50–60 hours to launch is not a bad thing in any way. Fans would be able to enjoy it and end it before it starts outliving its welcome. A short game is much better than a game that outlives its welcome. Gamers have seen numerous examples of such titles in gaming over the years.
