Daniil Kvyat may not have had the best 2019 Australian GP. But he did end up scoring some useful points for Toro Rosso. Even as he scored a solitary point, it was due to his fighting tenth, a place that earned up 1 point, that Toro Rosso were able to open their account.

And that’s always a fantastic feeling right- when you score the only points that your organization asks of you

To that end, it’s hardly surprising that some have already begun to think that the Russian driver, who was out for 2018 (without a seat) is to join Red Bull.

While every team has at least one driver that is in frontline contention for scoring most wins, acing dramatic moments and for occupying coveted spots on the podium, Kvyat, not the greatest, for now, has proven he’s here to compete.

In a sport that thrives on unpredictability- it’s both heartening to find Kvyatt back. The 2019 Australian GP attempt may not have been statistically exuberant, but it showed us that the young Russian still had enough fight to compete.

Here’s a context.

At the 2016 Russian GP, it was none other than the fiery Torpedo who came in the way of Sebastian Vettel, thus compromising the German’s race. This year too, he’s got a chance to mend (rather curb) his often irrationally aggressive ways and do the bulwark of the team’s scoring.

After all, nothing else would please his team.

But that told, the word at this point is that Mikhail Aleshin, a Russian, stated that his compatriot- Kvyat- can well replace Pierre Gasly at Red Bull. Did you know?

Having stated that it also remains to be seen as to how both Frenchman Gasly and Russian Kvyatt can do in terms of shaping their individual careers?

For now, it’s just 1 race behind us with 20 to go. To that end, how many can the Russian score in (speaking of podiums) and if it’s a decent number, then can we expect him to get replaced soon and join an even better, feistier team in Red Bull instead?

“I understand that such thoughts may be premature, but for us, this situation is, of course, positive,” exclaimed Aleshin, who’s now involved with Le Mans and the revered World Endurance Championship.
